HOW LONG WILL I PEEL?
Each person’s peeling experience is a little different. However, most people will feel as if their skin is tight for day 1 & 2, then start peeling on day 3. Typically the peeling process is complete around day 7 after your peel application.
WHAT TO EXPECT THE DAY OF TREATMENT?
Upon arrival we will discuss your skin concerns to choose the right peel for you. We will then clean & prep your skin prior to peel application. The peel will be applied one layer at a time. In between each layer we will be assessing your sensation & skin response to determine how many layers are needed. VI peels contain ingredients that act as an anesthetic to improve comfort during the peel. You may feel a slight spicy sensation as the peel is first applied. We also provide you with a personal fan to improve comfort throught the treatment. When the peel is complete you will leave with the solution still on your face causing an orange-ish coloration of the skin. You will then wash it off at home a few hours later. We will provide you with written aftercare instructions & all the necessary aftercare products. A VI Peel app is also available for ease of aftercare instructions & is a great resource for what to expect each day throughout the peeling process.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A VI PEEL?
If a series is recommended, VI Peels can be performed safely every 4-6 weeks. For the maintenance of healthy skin, VI Peels are recommended quarterly/seasonally for a total of 4 per year.
WHAT IS A TOXBOOSTER
A ToxBooster is a same-day combination of a VI Peel followed by a neurotoxin (Jeuveau/Botox) injection to fight all signs of aging. While your peel targets overall texture, pigment & fine lines, the addition of Tox brings it to the next level of diminishing lines & wrinkles.
PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Avoid being freshly tanned
POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Avoid direct sun & tanning for 7 days, use a mineral SPF 30+ sunscreen
- Follow the post-treatment instructions in the app or your written instructions on when to use towelettes, wash & use repair cream
- Avoid heavy exercise for 72-96 hours
- Avoid swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub for 7-10 days
